Mixing funky new hooks with crowd pleasing classics to create infectious, jackin' grooves is what he does best. Eclectic tastes and an open mind have turned Dave’s passion for music into his profession. He’s thankful that many venues now trust him to take musical control night after night. He takes his responsibility seriously, but once he’s got the party going you’ll see him and his trade mark flat cap happily bobbing away, loving the tunes with the rest of the crowd.
Dave has been honing his DJ skills since ‘99, when he started promoting club nights in his home town of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. He quickly started to pick up bookings and moved on to hold residencies at city centre bars and started working with the Now legendery Toil Sound System. He is equally at home warming up chilly warehouse raves as he is providing 5 hour sets in posh ski resort night clubs. In the last few years he’s been playing out 4 or 5 nights a week at some of the best clubs in the Alps, He is now sponsored by ski clothing brand “Planks”.
In 2010 Dave started to make his own mash-ups and re-edits. His “Know How to Keep it Locked” track was included in the Fused Funk compilation available on Funk Fusion Records from Juno. In 2012 he recorded an African tribe chanting while he was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, When he returned to his studio with the sample, he was able to produce his first original track Kilimanjaro that was released and remixed by 48 Inch Records in 2014, available on iTunes.
